NEWS Latest Update : 6 January 2009 JANUARY FOCUS: EUROPEAN MODERNISTS
This month we are highlighting again some of our favourite European artists. Perhaps John Christoforou, a Franco-Greek artist whose most innovative period was in the 1950s in London, is the best known. But other such as Pierre Jacquemon amd Roberto Caracciolo have also achieved success in New York and elsewhere. Ulrico Schettini is an artist who reached great heights in the 1960s and 1970s, only to turn to religious art and fade from wider view. Others worth exploring further include Jacques Busse, Arnold Daghani, Remo Salvadori, Frederick Lund Ottesen, Geo de Vlamynck and Leon Zack.
Latest additions & news:
We are in the process of setting up a second site at www.2021modernart.com to display works falling outside the core Red Raven remit. Please have a look at the site as, although the front page is dated, many paintings are already available to view there.
New paintings added in January 2009 include oils by Jeffrey Dennis, Ann Bruce and Richard Beer.
We are always interested in purchasing quality paintings from 1950s-1970s, whether from UK, Europe, Africa, Asia or the Americas.
